Starter Competency Course for Association Staff

TTG Asia media is proud to present in its 2nd year running of The “Association Professional Competencies - PAE 102" course that was launched at IT&CMA 2009 in Bangkok. Its content is based on the internationally acclaimed Certified Association Executive (CAE^®) designation offered by CSAE (Canadian Society of Association Executives) in conjunction with AuSAE (Australian Society of Association Executives).

Once again, Association staff and leaders will be able to attend a high-level education program aimed at equipping them with the skills and tools they needed to excel in their jobs.

The course focused on competencies that successful association executives must have. Participants learnt what it took to set vision, develop conceptual skills, implement governance systems, successfully deal with volunteers, develop programs and evaluate success.

Course Highlights
The course was an intensive one-day program covering three domains and 22 competencies in direction & Strategy, Membership & Services and Operations Support.

This intensive one-day programme will be launched at IT&CMA on 4 October 2010, Monday in Bangkok, Thailand whilst the workshop assessment will be held on the 5 October 2010.

All participants who successfully completed the course was awarded a Professional Association Executive (PAE 102*) certificate of participation. Participants received a workbook containing class tasks, case studies and key readings.

Veteran Facilitators
The course is led by Michael Anderson, CAE, President & CEO, CSAE and Simon Pryor, FSAE, President of AuSAE. Both are experienced association professionals and the program will be delivered in an interactive format with participants learning from one another.
